Programs for Kids & Young Adults
Every Wednesday at 11AM in Blanchard and Every Thursday at 11AM in Priest River AND open to all ages. Story Time, for kids ages 2 and up along with their parents or caregivers, has expanded. Preschoolers and Home schoolers can now enjoy stories, rhymes and activities once a week at each library. Blanchard’s Story Time is on Wednesdays and Priest River’s Story Time is on Thursdays.
New to Story Time - The Six(6) Early Literacy Skills. Join in the fun of story time while we work on the six skills of Early Literacy: Letter Knowledge, Vocabulary, Print Awareness, Print Motivation, Narrative Skills, Phonological Awareness. These skills will help your child make ready for reading. Birth to preschool is the time to introduce your child to the world of books and reading. These skills will add to the success of your childs early learning years.
Beginning September 10 and every Thursday at 3PM. Tale Twisters features stories and crafts for kids in grades Kindergarten-6, held in Priest River EVERY Thursday of the month at 3-3:45PM
Board Games, Playstation or Wii. Please reserve the meeting room. The Wii will be available for 6th graders and up to use in Priest River and Blanchard or use library boardgames with your friends for fun at the library. All ages are welcome to play boardgames. Small children and under 12 year olds must be accompanied by a caregiver.
