River Writers
The River Writers is a Creative Writing group, sponsored by the West Bonner Library in Priest River. The club organized in November 2008 and meets on the first and third Tuesdays of every month, at 3:30 p.m. at the library, located in the second block of Main Street in downtown Priest River.
SUMMER UPDATE by Marylyn Cork
The River Writers have been occupied with other matters much of the summer and attendance has fallen off. The truly committed continue to attend meetings, however, and are looking forward to fall, a slower season and more attendance. The group meets at 3:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, and welcomes visitors and new members. Sherry Graham was a visitor on July 21. LeeAnn Bonds read the beginning pages of a novel she is working on, and Pam Johnson brought a writing exercise for everyone to do during the meeting: "Describe a food, using all of your senses. Observe visually, include texture, smell, and taste. then describe again, making it disgusting."
